- Concord comes from the Latin word for agreement.
- It is needed for sentences to make sense.
- Relationships with each other, otherwise the sentence won't sound right.
- Only two parts of speech are absolutely necessary in a sentence: the verb and the subject.
- Subject-verb concord is when the subject of a sentence and the verb of a sentence agree.
- If a subject is singular, the verb must be singular.
