• There are community based rehabilitation services where instruction takes place at home

Vocational Training

• This system is for children with special needs
• The environment is a family or comfortable area
• The goal of the program is to teach a child skills in thie environment
• This is an out reached program
• The end goal is to accredit children into regular school programs.

Philippines and Vocational Programs for Special Needs Children

• Programs are designed to meet diversified needs
• It could be through apprenticeship, workshops etc
• Vocational training is conceived as an alternative secondary program for students with mental retardation.
• The students are then equipped with skills in certain areas.
