Sick Leave Regulations for Members of the Uniformed Force
- Sick leave is issued in 30-day blocks and changes require a written request 72 hours in advance
- Uniformed force members must submit documentation of out-of-residence activity within 48 hours
- Failure to comply with sick leave regulations may result in disciplinary action, including termination
- Submission of fraudulent documents related to therapy or doctor visits may lead to termination and possible prosecution
- HMO will not address individual requests for additional time out-of-residence, except in emergencies
- Recreation hours may be adjusted based on scheduled activities
- Members on sick leave granted recreation hours are not required to notify the sick desk when leaving or returning
- Injured members without a definite return to duty date may apply for additional time out-of-residence
- Requests to modify or extend out-of-residence hours must be submitted in writing to the Commanding Officer of HMO
