SAP Organizational Structure

• Company code defines the organizational unit for financial accounting.
• Plant is where goods are stored.
• Storage location is a subdivision of a plant.
• Company code defines the valuation area.
• Plant determines the material category.

SAP Material Master Configuration

• Assign the valuation class and valuation area to the material master record.
• Define material types, assign them to plants, and define the valuation class.
• Define methods and assign numbers of storage locations per valuation type.

SAP Pricing Procedure

• Pricing procedure is defined based on the sales order type, and condition types define the calculation sequence.
• Condition types define pricing elements and rules.

SAP Financial Accounting (FI)

• Chart of accounts is assigned to a company code.
• A group chart of accounts can be assigned across multiple company codes.
• A chart of accounts is required and created for each company code individually.

SAP Cost Center Accounting (CCA)

• A cost center tracks costs in an organization.
• A profit center tracks both costs and revenue.
