Discipline and General Conduct
- Police Officers must obey the Statement of Values and Code of Conduct and Ethics, and remain respectful, ethical, and professional on and off duty.
- Officers must treat each other fairly and with respect, regardless of rank.
- Off-duty behavior must reflect positively on the police force, and officers are expected to remain kind and law-abiding.
Professional Conduct
- Officers are not allowed to engage in messing around outside of the Police Department (PD) with others.
- Messing around can only be done with other officers inside PD, with mutual consent, and non-lethal weapons only (Tasers and non-Lethal weapons allowed).
- The chain of command must be followed, and officers must execute appropriate commands from higher ranks, except for unethical or corrupt commands.
Protocols and Procedures
- All employees must know and comply with all LSPD Police protocols, procedures, and guidelines related to their job.
- Police officers must follow the uniform guideline, with exceptions for specialist divisions.
- Officers on duty should have a partner when possible, except for commissioned police officers who may patrol alone due to their duties.
Confidentiality and Corruption
- Sensitive/confidential police information must not be disclosed to anyone without clearance.
- Police corruption will not be tolerated, and anyone found to be corrupt will be terminated and evidence will be sent to the Government.
Off-Duty Conduct
- When going off duty, officers are expected to store all PD-issued equipment in the locker, except for Radio, Badge, Gun, and Flashlight, and then change out of PD uniform and clock out on PD Discord.
- Failure to comply with these requirements will result in disciplinary action.
Rank Promotion and Unlocks
- Minimum requirements for rank promotions are based on hours, arrests, traffic stops, and exams.
- Ranks are based on performance and integrity, evaluated by the department.
- Rank requirements include:
- Recruit: Training manual + 10 hours with an FTO
- Rookie: 5 hours with an FTO + Arrests + Traffic Stops + LSPD SOP Exam
- Officer: Arrests + Public Engagement
- Senior Officer: Arrests + Public Engagement
- Corporal: Supervisor Management + FTO Requirements
- Sergeant: Pre-Command + Supervisor Management + FTO Requirements
- Lieutenant: Low Command + Management of out of City duties
- Captain: First level of High Command + Management of out of City duties
- Assistant Chief: Highest level of High Command + Management of out of City duties
