Philippine Army Standard Rifle Marksmanship Qualification
- The training objective is to impart knowledge on rifle marksmanship qualification firing and performance to engage Fig 11 and Fig 12 targets at a known distance range (KDR) of 50m-250m.
- The training consists of five practices: 50m practice 1 (standing), 100m practice 2 (kneeling/squatting), 150m practice 3 (kneeling/squatting), 200m practice 4 (prone unsupported), and 250m practice 5 (prone unsupported).
Practice Details
- 50m practice: Standing position, 12 rounds, 3 x 12-second exposures, aim and fire 4 rounds within each exposure.
- 100m practice: Standing alert, 10 rounds, assume kneeling position, engage target within 70 seconds.
- 150m practice: Standing alert, 6 rounds, assume kneeling position, aim and fire 6 rounds, change magazine, and continue firing within 2 minutes.
- 200m practice: Standing alert, 4 rounds, assume prone position, aim and fire 4 rounds, change magazine, and continue firing within 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
- 250m practice: Standing alert, 8 rounds, assume prone position, engage target with 8 rounds within 2 minutes.
General Conditions
- Daytime firing
- Using an M16A1/M4/M16A2 rifle
- Soldiers wear full combat gear
- Marksmanship qualification is determined through record fire
- Standard: Soldier must hit the target properly
