Course Description
- Focuses on concepts and principles of maternity nursing.
- Aims to develop knowledge, attitudes and skills in providing care to normal and high-risk pregnancies during antenatal, natal, and postnatal periods.
- Covers reproductive biology, antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum care.
- Organised into modules addressing different aspects.

Module One: Reproductive Biology - female & male reproductive systems, menstrual cycle, & reproductive health

Module Two: Normal & Abnormal Pregnancy - Physiological changes, nursing care, hypertensive and hemorrhagic disorders.

Module Three: Labor and Birth Processes - Childbirth, complications, nursing care, and labor emergencies.

Module Four: Normal & Abnormal Postpartum - Postpartum physiological changes, nursing care, postpartum hemorrhage, and puerperal sepsis.
