Presentation Views
- There are multiple views to switch among development views of a presentation: Normal, Slide Sorter, and Slide Show views.
- To switch views, click the corresponding button on the View Shortcuts toolbar or on the View tab in the Presentation Views group.
Slide Show View
- To display a presentation in Slide Show view from the first slide, click the From Beginning button on the Slide Show tab or press F5.
- To display a presentation in Slide Show view from the current slide, click the From Current Slide button on the Slide Show tab or press Shift+F5.
- In Slide Show view, navigate using the Slide Show toolbar or keyboard shortcuts: Next (N, Enter, Right Arrow, Down Arrow, Page Down), Previous (P, Backspace, Left Arrow, Up Arrow, Page Up), First slide (Home), Last slide (End), and Return to Normal or Slide Sorter view (Esc).
Reading View
- To display a presentation in Reading view, click the Reading View button on the View Shortcuts toolbar or on the View tab in the Presentation Views group.
- In Reading view, navigate using keyboard shortcuts: Next (N, Enter, Right Arrow, Down Arrow, Page Down), Previous (P, Backspace, Left Arrow, Up Arrow, Page Up), First slide (Home), Last slide (End), and Return to Normal or Slide Sorter view (Esc or click the Normal or Slide Sorter button).
Opening and Navigating Presentations
- Open a presentation by double-clicking it, and navigate through folders in the Navigation pane or by entering the folder location in the Address bar.
- Open a presentation in read-only mode, as an independent copy, in Protected view, or in a web browser.
- After a computer crash, PowerPoint can try to repair a damaged file.
