- Trapezius: Draws scapula dorsally and anterior, elevates, depresses, and retracts the scapula.
- Deltoid: Abducts the arm.
- Latissimus dorsi: Pulls the forelimb dorsad and caudad.
- Teres major: Rotates and flexes the arm.
- Teres minor: Assists the infraspinatus.
- Triceps brachii: Extends the arm.
- Biceps brachii: Flexor of the arm, flexes the forearm and rotates it outward
- Brachioradialis: Flexor of the forearm, flexes the forearm at the elbow
- Gluteus medius: Abducts the thigh.
- Gluteus maximus: Abducts the thigh.
- Vastus lateralis: Extensor of the leg.
