Family Declaration
- A government employee must declare their family members to avail LTC
- Family includes:
- Spouse
- Children (including step-children and adopted children)
- Parents (including step-parents)
- Brothers and sisters (including step-brothers and step-sisters)
- Declaration must be submitted to the employer
- Employees can change their family declaration as and when there is a change in their family
LTC Block Years
- LTC is allowed to be availed in blocks of 4 years
- Employees can avail LTC in each block year
- Block years are divided into:
- Block 1: 2018-2021
- Block 2: 2022-2025
- Block 3: 2026-2029
- Employees can carry over their LTC to the next block year if not availed in the current block year

- Employees can encash 10 days of earned leave during LTC
