ITP Activities & Timelines under UDCPR

• These questions are about Activities & Timelines for Integrated Township Projects (ITP) under UDCPR.

Location Clearance

• The State Government, after consulting with the HPC (High Powered Committee), grants location clearance for ITPs.
• The maximum time allowed to issue Location Clearance is 90 days.
• Location Clearance is valid for 2 years if a Letter of Intent (LOI) is not applied for.
• The Deputy Director of Town Planning can extend Location Clearance for up to 2 years in aggregate.

Letter of Intent (LOI)

• The Collector issues the Letter of Intent (LOI).
• The time limit for the Collector to issue an LOI is 45 days.
• The validity of the LOI is 2 years.
• The Collector can renew the LOI for 2 years.

Master Layout Plan

• The Collector/Authority, after consulting with the JDTP (Joint Director of Town Planning), approves the Master Layout Plan for an ITP.
• There is a 10 day time limit for forwarding the plan to JDTP.
• JDTP compliance is given 1 month.
• There is no need to refer to Divisional JDTP if JDTP is already posted within the Authority’s office.

Building Plan and Occupancy Certificate

• Approval of the Building Plan by a branch office or authority should be completed in 30 days.
• The Assistant Director of Town Planning / Authority issues the Occupancy Certificate to buildings.
• The time limit to issue an Occupancy Certificate to buildings is 30 days.
