Music production software enables users to record, compose, mix, and edit music and sounds.

Video input involves capturing full-motion images and storing them in a computer or mobile device's memory or cloud storage.
Digital video (DV) camera captures video and stores digital signals.
Video capture port converts analog video signals to digital signals.
Video conference facilitates meetings among geographically distributed individuals through audio/video transmission.

Stylus: small metal or plastic device like a pen that uses pressure instead of ink.
Digital pen: Captures and converts a user's handwriting or drawing into digital format.
Signature capture pad: captures a signature via a stylus.
Graphics tablet: allows pen input on a computer lacking a touchscreen.

Game controller directs movements and actions of on-screen elements in video games or computer games.
Gamepad: Held with both hands.
Joystick: Handheld vertical lever mounted on a base.
Light gun: Used to shoot targets.
Dance pad: Flat electronic device with panels for foot input.
Motion-sensing controllers: Guide on-screen elements by moving the device through the air.

NFC (Near Field Communication): Close-range network protocol for data transfer.
Optical scanner: Light-sensing device that converts printed text into digital data.
Optical reader: Uses light to convert characters and marks into digital data.
Bar code reader: Uses laser beams to read bar codes.
QR Code reader: Reads 2-D bar codes.
RFID (Radio Frequency Identification): Uses radio signals to communicate.
Magstripe reader: Reads magnetic stripes.
