- Personnel cannot alter, modify, or repair facilities unless the appropriate Assistant Chief approves a request via form FD-703.
- A Building Project Request (BPR) is an online form that Department Heads complete to initiate facility upgrades and track progress.
Reporting Maintenance or Emergency Issues During Business Hours (07:00-17:00)
- Email ZZ_CFD_BUILDING_MAINT, and carbon copy the Fire Station to inform them of the reported issue.
- Provide detailed information, including descriptions, model numbers, and photos if possible.
- Email ZZ_CFD_BUILDING_MAINT, and cc the Fire Station once the work is completed.
Reporting Maintenance or Emergency Issues After Hours (17:00-07:00 and on Weekends)
- Emergency examples: sewer back-up or garage door issues.
- Call 817-392-7860.
- Email ZZ_CFD_BUILDING_MAINT, and cc the Fire Station to record the incident.
- Email ZZ_CFD_BUILDING_MAINT, and cc the Fire Station after the work is complete.
Fuel Pump Related Issues
- Email ZZ_CFD_BUILDING_MAINT, and cc the Fire Station to inform station personnel of the issue.
- Offer detailed information about the problem.
- Email ZZ_CFD_BUILDING_MAINT, and cc the Fire Station when work is complete.
Request for Facility Upgrades
- The Station Captain forwards an FD 703 to the Deputy Chief through the chain of command.
- Questions can be directed to ZZ_CFD_BUILDING_MAINT via email.
- Email the signed FD703 to ZZ_CFD_BUILDING_MAINT.
- If the request is approved, a BPR will be initiated.
- Building Maintenance will provide updates on the request's progress.
Facility Maintenance Allowed by Station Personnel
- Dryer vent cleaning
- Refrigerator/freezer coil cleaning
- Changing air filtration / A/C system filters
- Changing or replacing light bulbs
- Hanging pictures/light shelving using screw-in style drywall anchors
Reporting Damages to Facilities
- Refer to S 1025, Accident and On-duty Injury or Illness Reporting.
- Notify Building Maintenance at ZZ_CFD_BUILDING_MAINT, and cc the Fire Station.
- If after-hours or emergency repairs are needed, call 817-392-7860.
- Email ZZ_CFD_BUILDING_MAINT once the repairs are completed.
