- The purpose is to establish a standardized system for fire battalions and stations to record activities and information in a Daily Log
General Information
- Daily Log Form F.D. 721
- Daily Logs are official department records
- Daily Logs should be signed by the chief/station officer
- Daily Logs are used to document training, activities, staffing, facility/equipment information, etc.
Instructions/Procedures
- Battalion Chiefs and Station Officers shall:
- Ensure completion of the Daily Log, form F.D. 721
- Ensure information which is pertinent to the shift's activities, to include incidents which might lead to future inquiries or investigations, is recorded on the form
- Sign form F.D. 721
- Retain Daily Logs as follows:
- Current calendar year logs are filed in the Daily Log binder
- The two prior year calendar logs are filed in station files
