Facial Muscles
- Frontalis: Raises eyebrows, wrinkles forehead. Example: surprise, fright.
- Corrugator supercilii: Draws eyebrows together. Example: frowning.
- Procerus: Pulls skin of nose upward, forming transverse wrinkles. Example: anger.
- Nasalis (alar portion): Widens nostrils. Example: forced breathing.
- Nasalis (transverse portion): Draws point of nose downward, narrows nostrils.
- Orbicularis oculi (orbital part): Closes eyelids firmly.
- Orbicularis oculi (palpebral part): Closes eyelids gently.
