Disability Protection

  • Qualifying requirements (employment income): Minimum income level for 14 consecutive days.
  • Continuous payments: Canceled monthly payments for up to 24 months or $24,000 (whichever is reached first).

Involuntary Unemployment Protection

Non-Protected Events

  • Atomic explosion, elective cosmetic surgery, intentionally self-inflicted injury, assisted suicide, events occurring before the effective date of protection
  • Pre-existing conditions or treatment within 6 months.
  • Death within six months of a pre-existing condition, events occurring within 3 months of effective date, or events related to normal pregnancy or childbirth; these events aren't protected.
