Earth's Interior

- Core-mantle boundary is at 2,900 km depth
- Outer core is liquid, inner core is solid

Volcanoes and Volcanic Landforms
- Volcanoes are openings where gases, ash, lava escape to surface
- Active volcanoes release materials recently or currently
- Mantle lies beneath solid crust and is denser
