Avells (Exarticulation)
- Dry time less than 60 minutes
- Examine socket for necrosis
- Irrigate and irrigate socket with saline
- Radiograph (CBCT) for confirmation
- Remove necrotic tissue from root surface, placed in normal saline
- Irrigate the socket with normal saline
- Replant the tooth, gently and digitally
Closed apex
- Remove necrotic tissue from root surface, placed in normal saline
- Gauze soak in normal saline
- Irrigate socket with normal saline
- Replant tooth, gently and digitally
- Apply a passive and flexible splint
- Start RCT in 2 weeks
Open apex
- Remove necrotic tissue from root surface, placed in normal saline
