- Users can customize the Home page in Lightning Experience to display quarterly performance summaries, critical tasks, and opportunities.
- Customization options include creating a page from scratch, cloning an existing page, or editing a page from the Home tab in a Lightning app.
Creating a Custom Home Page
- To create a custom Home page, users can start from scratch using a template, clone an existing page, or edit a page from the Home tab.
- To edit an existing page, users can click the ellipse on the Home page, select Edit Page, and create a copy of the current page to edit.
- If a customized page exists and is active, selecting Edit Page opens that page to edit.
Activating and Rolling Out a Custom Home Page
- After creating a custom Home page, users must activate it before it can be seen by others.
- Activating a Home page provides three options: making it the default for everyone in the org, the default for an app, or assigning it to one or more app and profile combinations.
- Assigning a custom Home page to a specific profile, such as System Administrator, allows users with that profile to access a page designed specifically for their role.
- Activated custom Home pages can be seen by users with the assigned profile while working in the specified app.
