    • Conjunctions are words or groups of words that join parts of a sentence, phrases, or clauses.
    • In English, they are called conjunctions.
    • They connect words, phrases or clauses in a sentence to make a complete thought.
    • They show the relationship between the different parts.

    Types of Conjunctions

    • Additive: -Connect similar elements -Words include: and, also, likewise, too, as well as
    • Adversative: -Show a contrasting relationship or opposition. -Words include: but, however, yet.
    • Alternative: -Present choices or alternatives. -Words include: or, either...or, neither...nor
    • Causal: -Show a cause-and-effect relationship. -Words include: because, since, for, therefore, so Consequently
    • Illative:
      • Show inference or conclusion. -Words include: thus, therefore, hence.
    • Temporal: -Show time relationships or sequence. -Words include: before, after, since, while, when, until, as soon as.
    • Conditional:
