Instructions
- Bake the cake: Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Prepare a 9x13 inch baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.
- Crumb the cake: Use a food processor or place the cake in a plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin to create fine crumbs.
- Mix with strawberry flavor: Add strawberry puree or jam and extract (if using) to the crumbs and mix until well combined.
- Form cake balls: Use a small cookie scoop or your hands to form the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch (2.5 cm) in diameter. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Melt the chocolate: Melt the white and dark chocolate chips in separate bowls in the microwave or over a double boiler. Stir until smooth.
- Dip the cake balls: Dip the end of a lollipop stick or cake pop stick into the melted chocolate and insert into each cake ball.
