Pie Inventory
- 1-2 Chocolate pies, with no duplicate ice cream flavors
- 1-2 Graham pies, with no duplicate ice cream flavors
Chocolate Cake Inventory (4-6 cakes total)
- No duplicates unless noted
- Flavor options: Chocolate, Vanilla, Oreo (up to 2 decorated), Turtle, CCCD, CRT, and MCC.
Yellow Cake Inventory (4-6 cakes total)
- Flavor options: Chocolate, Vanilla, Oreo (up to 2 decorated), Turtle, CCCD, CRT, and MCC.
Holding Cake Freezer Usage
- Stores all cake tops, custom cakes, and pre-made cakes.
- One of each flavor can be stored here, with two each of Oreo and CCCD permitted.
- Can store all blasted cakes ready to decorate.
- Intended for cakes that need to harden for only one day before decoration.
- Cake tops that have been finished and blasted are to be on the top shelves with the spoon facing the front for readability.
- Cake tops are on the lower shelves, to see the flavor/name.
- Do not store bottoms or finished cakes in this freezer.
- If a flavor is already decorated, do NOT stack and blast it.
Walk-In Freezer Contents
- Bottoms
- Pre-made cake tops, only if the holding freezer is full.
- A note must be left on the cake table if a top is stored here.
- All parts of personal cakes being worked on.
- Any cake top or blasted cake that needs to be rushed because ice cream will freeze in 20 minutes.
Taking Cake Orders: Questions To Ask
- Determine pickup date: Today or tomorrow = pre-mades.
- If customer chooses premade, cross off the whiteboard and enter the details in the cake book
- No need to put in book if order taken at window.
- For orders to be picked up in more than 48 hours, use sheets behind the numbers tab with the customers requests
- Orders should contain: pie, 8 in or 9x12
- 8 in can be chocolate and yellow, NO 9x12 split cake flavor
- Bottom: Chocolate or Yellow, OR Chocolate or Graham
- Filling: Fudge or Caramel (or any filling available in store) Ice Cream Flavor: up to two flavors allowed
- Decorations or colors
- Writing on cake
- Last name (and first name if common)
- Phone number
- Indicate if Paid or Unpaid
- Order taker's initials and date
Order Fulfillment Steps
- Pack the top (unless due more than one week away, in which case highlight the date).
- Make the bottom (claim one with fudge in walk-in if available).
- Mark completed steps in the cake book
