Promotion Standards
- Minimum Time in Service (TIS) for promotion to Specialist (SPC) is 24 months, with 4 months in grade (TIG).

- Soldiers E-4 and below not recommended for promotion despite eligibility will receive counseling focused on improvement areas.
Substance Abuse and Referral
- Substance abuse issues can be identified through voluntary admission, supervisor referrals, biochemical testing, medical identification, or investigations.
- ASAP stands for Army Substance Abuse Program, and soldiers enrolled in this program cannot reenlist.
- Command-referred soldiers to ASAP will be flagged under AR 600-8-2.
General Orders
- General Order Number One: "I will guard everything within the limits of my post and quit my post only when properly relieved."
- General Order Number Two: "I will obey my special orders and perform all my duties in a military manner."
- General Order Number Three: "I will report violations of my special orders, emergencies, and anything not covered in my instructions to the commander of the relief."
- All ASAP referrals are documented using DA Form 8003.
