Archery Equipment

Archery Commands
- "Step up to the LINE!" - Shooters step up to the shooting line, behind their quiver, and stand sideways in a shooting stance.
- "Mount your arrows!" - Shooters place one arrow on the arrow rest.
- "Shoot when ready!" - Shooters can shoot one arrow at a time at the correct target.
- "RETRIEVE!" - After shooting, archers retrieve their three arrows and give them to the instructor.
Archery Scoring
- Scores are based on where the arrow lands on the target.
- Scores range from 1 to 10, with a missed shot marked as “M” for zero points.
- A center bulls-eye is an “X” for ten points.
- If an arrow lands on a dividing line, the higher score is awarded.
- If an arrow lands in another arrow, both receive the same score.
- Arrows in the wrong target are not scored.
- Ties in individual competition are resolved by:
- Highest number of scoring hits
- Highest number of golds (10s)
- Highest number of 9s
- If still tied, a draw is declared.
