The use of social institutions to control how the working class thing to stop them rebelling against the capitalist system. myth of meritocracy where social system advancement is based of capabilities. False class consciousness where bourgeoisie create false problems to avoid a communist revolution. Education brainwashes us into accepting capitalist norms and values.

Education is a tool used by the rich to keep the part in their place. It makes us believe society is fair as the working class are blaming themselves for the problems.

Marxism, assume people are passive victims most people are aware of the inequality and education but don’t think the inequality is legitimate. The working class has dual consciousness they know they’re being exploited but don’t have the power to change it.
