Check-In Deadlines

  • For international flights, the acceptance deadline is 60 minutes before the scheduled departure
  • For domestic flights, the acceptance deadline is 30 minutes before the scheduled departure

  • A maximum of 20 infants can be accepted on AIR CAIRO A320 aircraft
  • Two infants cannot be accepted with one adult as a standard rule

Return Check-In

  • This applies to AIR CAIRO domestic flights for passengers with return journeys up to 24 hours (plus or minus according to Air Cairo preferences).
  • It allows passengers to check in and print boarding passes for both sectors, proceeding directly to immigration or the gate on the return flight without re-checking
  • DGR and Security profiling will be conducted as per the applicable location
  • Baggage can also be checked for each sector at designated baggage drop counters, passengers should follow DGR instructions
  • Conditions include a confirmed booking on both sectors, traveling on AIR CAIRO flights only, reporting at the airport 60 minutes before the return flight's departure, and proceeding to bag drop counters if applicable,
  • Failing to show at the boarding gate 15 minutes before departure will result in denied boarding and baggage offloading

Self-Service Check-In

  • AirCairo allows self-service check-in under specific conditions:
  • Only Web Check-In and Kiosk are applicable, Mobile/Text Message check-in is not applicable
  • The passenger holds an electronic ticket with a PNR
  • The departure airport uses AirCairo departure control system (Amadeus Altea DCS)

Standby Acceptance Guidelines

  • When accepting passengers on DCS standby basis due to being booked but not listed, wait listing or go show, following guidelines must be observed:
  • Priority to passengers to complete a family or group.
  • Priority to passengers confirmed but not listed on same flight.
  • Validity of passenger's entry visa should be taken into consideration.
  • Preference to passengers travelling longer sector if seats are available all through to final destination.
  • Frequency of flights to destination should be taken into account.
  • Standby passenger baggage may be released from check in area, standby label may be used to avoid forwarding to the aircraft.
  • Standby passenger's documents must be thoroughly checked Flight controllers and Check in agents will follow Order of priority to on load
