    Study Notes

The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai revised its Development Plan and published it for public comment in 2015, but after receiving objections and suggestions, the State Government ordered a revamp. The revised plan was published in 2016 and the Planning Committee submitted its report in 2017. The Corporation sanctioned the revised plan with modifications and submitted it to the State Government for sanction, which was given in 2017 and 2018, excluding certain modifications. The excluded parts were published for public comment in 2018 and hearings were held, after which the State Government sanctioned the excluded parts to come into force on 24th October 2018. The Development Control and Promotion Regulations-2034 will be available for public inspection for a year.

    Public Parking Lots (PPL)

    Petrol Pumps

    • Reservations for petrol pumps will be sanctioned as proposed under Section 30 of the MR & TP Act, 1966.
