By focusing on clear communication, visual appeal, and audience engagement, you can create presentation that inform, inspire, and leave a lasting impression The Components of Office 365 Menus (Good for Office 2013 and UP) ► Tabbed Office Ribbon Menu Bar ► Specific Office Ribbon TAB ► Grou ► ps In-Ribbon Gallery ► Dialog Box Launcher Ribbon A row of menus and toolbars at the top of the PowerPoint program. Ribbon tabs are organized by purpose, and you can customize the ribbon to show frequently used commands. The Office TABBED RIBBON Quick Access Toolbar A row of icons at the top of PowerPoint that allows users to access frequently used commands. Users can customize the Quick Access Toolbar by adding or removing commands, changing its position, or hiding command labels. The TOOL BARS Command Icon change with each tool tab selected Most commonly used commands are on the left The Home tab in Microsoft PowerPoint is a tab in the ribbon that contains the commands for adding and editing slides in a presentation: 1. Font: Change the font family, size, alignment, color, and other. attributes like bold 2. Paragraph: Format the paragraph 3. Cut and Paste: Cut and paste features Slides: Insert new slides and change slide layouts A single TAB Home Related commands grouped together A command group is a set of related tools or actions grouped together within a tab on the Ribbon. The Ribbon is the top toolbar that organizes all the commands you can use. Command Groups - Highlighted is “FONT” Specific COMMONLY USED commands put into related groups The File tab in Microsoft PowerPoint and other Office applications is the menu up on the left side of the top corner that opens the Backstage View. This allows you to manage file- related tasks, as it allows you to control and configure the whole document instead of its content. Special TAB - FILE Pops up a different style of commands A gallery directly in-ribbons means it is embedded within the Ribbon interface; you will find it offering available visual options or templates for the user to choose from, usually categorized under some kind of task- related group in the Ribbon. Special Group In- Ribbon Gallery Not commands, but preview gallery of photos A Pop-up Dialog Box Launcher–a small button in the bottom right corner of some groups on the Ribbon, marked by an arrow pointing diagonally from top left to bottom right. When clicked, it opens a dialog box or task pane with more options or enhanced settings for that group.
