Uses a graphical approach to presentations in the form of slideshows that accompany the oral delivery of the topic. Max Provides a variety of output Team Lead capabilities for presentations. Uses graphical presentation program that you can use to organize and present information. Interface being redesigned with the intent of making the tools you need easier to find and help you give your presentation a professional and consistent look throughout. Enables you to create robust, electronic slideshows. Microsoft PowerPoint The new PowerPoint Ribbon interface has been designed to increase productivity and to make it easier to create highly graphic presentation. The PowerPoint Window screen is called the Ribbon that consist of seven Tabs – (Home, Insert, Design, Animations, Slide Show, Review, and View RIBBONS And six Groups in Home Tab– TABS (Clipboard, Slides, Fonts Paragraph, GROUPS Drawing and Editing) MS Office Button In the upper-left corner is the Microsoft Office Button. When you click the button a menu appears. You can use the menu to create a new file, open an existing file, save a file and perform many other task Quick Access Toolbar Provides you access to commands you frequently use. By default, Save, Undo and Redo appears on the Quick Access Toolbar. You use Save to save your file, Undo to rollback an action you have taken, and Redo to reapply an action you have rolled back. The Title Bar The Title bar is located at the top in the center of the PowerPoint window. The Title bar displays the name of the presentation on which you are currently working. By default, PowerPoint names presentations sequentially, starting with Presentation1. When you save your file, you can change the name of your presentation. The Ribbon The Ribbon is located near the top of the PowerPoint window, below the Quick Access toolbar. At the top of the Ribbon are several tabs; clicking a tab displays several related command groups. Within each group are related command buttons. You click buttons to issue commands or to access menus and dialog boxes. Rulers Rulers – Are vertical and horizontal guides. You use them to determine where you want to place an object. If the rulers do not display in your PowerPoint window: > Click the VIEW TAB > Click Ruler in the Show/Hide group. The Rulers appear. Slides, Placeholders and Notes Slides appear in the center of the window. You can create your presentation on Slides. Placeholders hold the objects in your slide. You can use placeholders to hold text, clip art, charts and more. Status Bar, Tabs, View Buttons and More Status Bar – Generally appears at the bottom of the window. The Status bar displays the number of the slide that is currently displayed, the total number of slides, and the name of the design template in use or the name of the background. Outline tab – Displays the text contained in your presentation. Slides tab – Displays a thumbnail of all your slides. You click the thumbnail to view the slide in the Slide pane. Normal View – Splits your screen into three major sections: The Outline and Slides tabs, the Slide pane, and the Notes area. The Outline and Slides tabs are on the left side of your window. Zoom Allows you to zoom in and zoom out on the window. Zooming in makes the window larger so you can focus on an object. Zooming makes the window smaller so you can see the entire window. You can click and drag the vertical and horizontal splitters bars to change that size of your panes Home Tab Displays by default, and contains all the basic commands for creating slides in a presentation Slides Slides group – allows you to add new slides, delete slides, and change slide layouts. The Font group includes commands for formatting text in slides, including applying character effects such as bold, italics, underline and shadow. Paragraph group - contains the commands for creating bulleted and number lists, as well as other paragraph formatting such as the alignment commands. Drawing group- gives you access to the most common commands for working with images, including inserting shapes, applying shape styles and arranging drawing objects on a slide. Clipboard – includes the cut, copy, paste, and format painter commands and the Editing group includes the find and replaces commands The Insert Tab The Insert Tab gives you access to the commands for adding content to slides. In the Tables group, use the table grid to quickly add a table to a slide. The Illustrations group allows you to insert a number of types of image including pictures, clip art, shapes, Smart Art, and charts. To add interactivity to a slide, add a hyperlink or actions from the Links group. END
