Epigastric The region, located above the stomach. 14 Medical Terminology (FAC-102) Ectoenzyme: Enzyme that is located on the outer surface of a cell membrane and catalyzes reactions outside of the cell. Mesoderm: Middle layer between the ectoderm and endoderm in germ layers of the embryo. Endocarditis: Inflammation of the inner layer of heart 15 Medical Terminology (FAC-102) Interphase: The middle phase of the cell cycle. Intra-abdominal: Situated within the abdomen. Intraoperative: Occurring or performed during the course of a surgical operation. 16 Medical Terminology (FAC-102) Extracellular: Occurring outside a cell or cells.
