BASIC VRF OPERATION & SERVICE ORIENTATION Our Latest Technologies WHAT IS AIRCONDITIONING? Air conditioning is an ideal way of controlling the temperature, movement and cleanliness of air § VRF system inside any building, large or small. With today's buildings being so well insulated and increasingly § Inverter driven technology full of electronic Equipment, the need for effective climate control is greater than ever. Not only § Intelligent Power Module does it cool in the summer (IPM) technology months, but air conditioning can also heat, doing away with the need for separate heating § R410A refrigerant systems altogether. More and more people today are enjoying the benefits of comfortable working and living environments made possible with air conditioning. VARIABLE Control of refrigerant using LINEAR EXPANSION VALVE REFRIGERANT Inverter driven variable speed COMPRESSOR FLOW A VRF air conditioning system modulates the flow of refrigerant depending upon the capacity requirements of the building. In its simplest form, a VRF system comprises an air-cooled outdoor unit and a series of indoor units that regulate the air temperature inside an internal space. Using inverter technology our systems produce just the right amount of output to match the exact requirement of any building. These systems work so efficiently that they don’t waste valuable energy by over-heating or overcooling, resulting in greatly reduced running costs. Alternative systems that may appear cheaper, can often cost substantially more to run, making us the most cost effective choice all round. Constant capacity Comp Current Inverter Comp Start For the Environment Efficient R410A refrigerant As scientific evidence points to man-made chemicals for the damage caused to the ozone layer, we only use chlorine-free refrigerants that are safe with zero ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential). Accordingly, our systems require less energy to run, and have a significantly lower indirect global warming potential. In short, we Photo: Y Series produce the most efficient equipment possible, while helping to protect the environment. Outdoor Unit 4HP/5HP/6HP 8HP/10HP/12HP 14HP/16HP/18HP Indoor Unit Indoor Unit MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE PROCEDURE Confirm before servicing The tool is used properly by the kind of the refrigerant. Confirm the connecting pipes Keep the inner and outer surfaces of the pipes clean and free of such contaminants as sulfur, oxides, dust, dirt, shaving particles and water. Keep work place well ventilated When refrigerant leaks. Take Care during Servicing ( Incase must be service when power supply turn on ) Please don’t touch this zone!!! High-Voltage Area Take Care during Servicing ( Incase must be turn off the power supply ) 1. Before servicing the air conditioner, be sure A) turn off the unit with remote controller. B) After air conditioner closed, turn OFF breaker or disconnect the power plug. 2. Be sure to turn OFF the power supply at least 10 minute, and confirm that voltage between FT-P and FT-N on INV Board has dropped to DC20V or less ( It takes about 10 minutes to discharge electricity after the power supply is turned off.) before removing the front panel or other parts. FT-P INV Board FT-N How to find the Error Code ? On outdoor Control PCB How to find the Error Code ? On Remote Controller Location (---) Error Code (----) Error code is displayed Error Code Cause 1*** Refrigerant/System fault 2*** Water system fault 4*** Power & Electronic related fault 5*** Sensor fault 6*** Transmission/Communication fault 7*** Communication Setting fault Self-diagnosis by check code The thermal data of the refrigerant circuit is measured. Check on parts The factor is specific from these. Easy Maintenance Even when one of the indoor units in the system is under maintenance, the other indoor unit can still operate. Under maintenance In Operation * Not applicable to all situations. * Be sure to turn off the power to the indoor unit when repairing or servicing the unit. REGULAR SERVICING/ MAINTENANCE CHECKLISTS ITEM RECOMMENDED PROCEDURE FREQUENCY Air filter, grilles Once a month. Clean with soap and water. Do not place under direct sunlight the air filter might warp. Blowers (sirocco Monthly cleaning Clean with vacuum fans, line flow cleaner or soap and fans, turbo fans) water. Drain pan Monthly cleaning Clean with soap and water. Drain pump (not Monthly cleaning Clean with water and all models) flushing of drain line Evaporator coil Monthly cleaning Clean using pressure washer and water. Condenser coil Monthly cleaning Clean using pressure washer and water. Electronic Monthly Check connection, component clean with vacuum cleaner. Voltage, current, Monthly Check with proper test pressure instruments.
