R A D T N S Y O B L W N G I R D T A S B T I A - O R C A B Invasion Games - are activities that show the player’s ability to move into a space to goal, to occupy the opponent’s space, and to defend their space. These games are played by teams who invade the opponent’s territory, score points, and prevent the opposing team from scoring within a given period of time. What is sungka? is a game played by two players by using a solid carved wood with two rows of seven circular holes and two large holes at both ends called house ( bahay ). Forty-nine small stones, marbles, pebbles, seeds, or even shells can be used in sungka and distributed inside the holes except inside the opponents house. Skills developed in playing sungka 1. Hand Speed - the player needs to move his/her hands quickly in putting the small stones into the holes. 2. Eye-hand Coordination- the player must drop a pebble into the right hole. CHESS It is played by two players on a board game with 64 squares. The player aims to checkmate the opponent’s king to win the game 2. GAME OF THE GENERALS the players influences and simulates his/her armies to eliminate the opponent’s armies and capture the opponent’s flag. 3. DAMA (CHECKERS) is a board game that uses 12 position pitsas at the end points of diagram. The game end when all the pitsas of the opponent player have been captured. OTHER TYPES OF INVASION GAMES 1. Invasion games characterized by throwing into a target. Basketball is a game played by two teams with an aim of scoring against Basketball the opponent by shooting the ball to the opponents basket. It is played on the streets where a team tries to pass through lines Patintero while the opposing team tries to catch them. Two players act as either a hawk and a hen that stays infront of the line. The Lawin at Sisiw players act as chicken that the Lawin will try to catch them. 4. Invasion games based on stealing or catching Two teams compete with each other by taking over the opponent territory Agawan Base by tagging the opponent who tries to enter their territory. An “it” stands in the middle of the ground Agawang while the other players who are standing Sulok in their respective bases try to exchange places to own a vacant base.
