The Prophet (s) didn't answer for three days until Sura al- Ikhlas was revealed and he answered them In a hadith from the Prophet (as): anyone who recites Sura al-Ikhlas three times, it is as if he has recited the Qur'an completely It is the Surah that lights the path towards God ADALA Adala is believing in 9 things: 1. Allah is for all His creations a just Master. 2. Allah never does anything wrong (bad). 3. Allah does not fail to do anything that is necessary. 4. There is no injustice in Allah’s decisions. 5. When Allah tests us or gives a command, Allah does not ask beyond what we can do. 6. Allah will always reward those who obey. 7. It is for Allah to decide if He so desires to punish. 8. Punishment will never go beyond what an individual deserves. 9. Allah does not force anyone to do evil and then punish him. 3) 65:3 (Allah carries out His Purpose) َّ َّللا بَا ِل ُغ أ َ ْم ِر ِه ۚ قَ ْد َجعَ َل َ َّللاُ ِل ُك ِل ش ْيءٍ قَ ْدرا ِ َّ علَى َ َّ َّللا فَ ُه َو َح ْسبُهُ ۚ ِإ َّن َ ب ۚ َو َم ْن يَت َ َو َّك ْل ُ َويَ ْر ُز ْقهُ ِم ْن َحي ُ ْث ََل يَ ْحت َ ِس [Shakir 65:3] And give him sustenance from whence he thinks not; and whoever trusts in Allah, He is sufficient for him; surely Allah attains His purpose; Allah indeed has appointed a measure for everything. 4) 8:51 (Allah does not do injustice) ظ ََّّل ٍم ِل ْلعَ ِبي ِد َ ْس ِب ْ َٰ َذ ِل َك ِب َما قَ َّد َم ََّ ت أ َ ْي ِدي ُك ْم َوأ َ َّن َ َّللا لَي [Shakir 8:51] This is for what your own hands have sent on before, and because Allah is not in the least unjust to the servants; 9) 2:256 (Allah does not force or coerce anyone into anything) َّ ام لَ َها ۗ َو َُّللا َ صَ س َك ِب ْالعُ ْر َوةِ ْال ُوثْقَ َٰى ََل ا ْن ِف ِ َّ ت َويُؤْ ِم ْن ِب َ اَّلل فَقَ ِد ا ْست َ ْم َّ الر ْش ُد ِمنَ ْالغَي ِ ۚ فَ َم ْن يَ ْكفُ ْر ِب ُ الطا ِ غو ُّ َين ۖ قَ ْد تَبَيَّن ِ ََل ِإ ْك َراهَ فِي ِ الد }256{ ع ِلي ٌم َ س ِمي ٌع َ [Shakir 2:256] There is no compulsion in religion; truly the right way has become clearly distinct from error; therefore, whoever disbelieves in the Shaitan and believes in Allah he indeed has laid hold on the firmest handle, which shall not break off, and Allah is Hearing, Knowing 8) 16:97 (God is merit based and would never reward or punish beyond that) }97{ َس ِن َما َكانُوا يَ ْع َملُون َ صا ِلحا ِم ْن َذ َك ٍر أ َ ْو أ ُ ْنث َ َٰى َو ُه َو ُمؤْ ِم ٌن فَلَنُ ْح ِييَنَّهُ َحيَاة َ ط ِيبًَ ۖ َولَن َْج ِزيَنَّ ُه ْم أ َ ْج َر ُه ْم ِبَ َ ْح َ َم ْن َ ع ِم َل [Shakir 16:97] Whoever does good whether male or female and he is a believer, We will most certainly make him live a happy life, and We will most certainly give them their reward for the best of what they did. 5) 2:286 (Allah does not impose beyond capacity) َّللاُ نَ ْفسا ِإ ََّل ُو ْسعَ َها َّ فُ ََل يُ َك ِل "Allah does not impose upon any soul a duty but to the extent of its ability..." Quranic Proof 6) 11:115 (Allah does not waste the reward of a good doer) َ ِضي ُع أ َ ْج َر ْال ُم ْح ِسن }115{ ين ِ َُّللا ََل ي َ َّ صبِ ْر فَإِ َّن ْ َوا [Shakir 11:115] And be patient, for surely Allah does not waste the reward of the good-doers 2 - 41: 46 (Allah is not unjust) }46{ ظ ََّّل ٍم ِل ْلعَبِي ِد َ َ صا ِلحا فَ ِلنَ ْف ِس ِه ۖ َو َم ْن أ َ ِسا َء فَعَلَ ْي َها ۗ َو َما َربُّ َك ب َ َم ْن َ ع ِم َل [Shakir 41:46] Whoever does good, it is for his own soul, and whoever does evil, it is against it; and your Lord is not in the least unjust to the servants 1 - 3:18 (Allah is a Just Master) ُ َّللاُ أَنَّهُ ََل ِإ َٰلَهَ ِإ ََّل ُه َو َو ْال َم ََّل ِِ َكًُ َوأُولُو ْال ِع ْل ِم قَا ِِما ِب ْال ِق ْس ِط ۚ ََل إِ َٰلَهَ إِ ََّل ُه َو ْالعَ ِز يز ْال َح ِكي ُم َّ ش ِه َد َ "Allah bears witness that there is no god but He, and (so do) the angels and those possessed of knowledge, maintaining His creation with justice; there is no god but He, the Mighty, the Wise" 7) 6:39 (Allah guides and misguides who He wishes (if they wish to be guided/misguided) }39{ اط ُم ْست َ ِق ٍيم َ ُض ِل ْلهُ َو َم ْن يَشََ ْ يَ ْجعَ ْله ِ علَ َٰى ٍ ص َر ْ َُّللاُ ي َ َت ۗ َم ْن ي َّ ِشإ ُّ ص ٌّم َوبُ ْك ٌم فِي ِ الظلُ َما َ َوالَّ ِذ ُ ين َكذَّبُوا ِبآيَاتِنَا [Shakir 6:39] And they who reject Our communications are deaf and dumb, in utter darkness; whom Allah pleases He causes to err and whom He pleases He puts on the right way. Believing in the Adl (justice) of Allah means that one should not be in a position of accusing Allah of injustice and favourtism. If you feel that Allah did something that was unfair, what can cause you to think this? 4 possibilities that can arise from this: 1. Allah does it knowingly – which would make Him dhaalim (unjust) 2. Allah does it unknowingly – which would make Him jahil (ignorant) 3. Allah has been forced to do it – which makes Him mohtaaj (reliant on others) 4.
