His works is more on Astronomy. Thought experiment. (Unexceptional student.) - He had a hard time in studying medicine that his father imposed. - Published the ORIGIN OF SPECIMEN in1589 this book is entitled as the most important work in scientific literature. - His work specialized how the specimen evolved during time to time. -Has a big contribution to evolutionary of biology and philosophy of science. Charles Darwin -Published another book entitled as THE DESCENT OF MAN was impressive yet controversial. - he introduced the idea of evolution is that all organic life, including man under the realm of evolutionary thinking. - A remarkable person because of his courageous personality and being observant to any aspects especially in world or science. Sigmund Freud An Austrian Neurologist and the founder of psychoanalysis. Freud may justly be called the most influential intellectual legislator of his age. His creation of psychoanalysis was at once a theory of the human psyche, a therapy for the relief of its ills, and an optic for the interpretation of culture and society. Dream Analysis - dreams are a way to access the unconscious mind, and that they represent repressed desires and motivations. -Two different types. 1. Manifest content (the literal images and events of the dream as remembered upon waking) 2. Latent content (the underlying, unconscious meaning behind the dream symbols). Defense Mechanisms defense mechanisms are unconscious psychological responses that help people manage anxiety and internal conflicts. Example of mechanisms of defense 1. denial, 2. repression 3. regression, Contemporary Views His work sparked a major change in how we view mental illness by suggesting that not all psychological problems have physiological causes.
