SPERM MOVES TO THE VAS DEFERENS 4. SPERM BECOMES SEMEN BY ADDING NUTRIENTS SEMINAL VESICLE – SUGAR PROSTATE – PROTEIN COWPER'S GLAND – OIL/CLEANSES 5. SEMEN MOVES INTO URETHRA AND IS EJACULATED MALE REPRODUCTION HOW IT WORKS Female Sexual Reproduction Journey of sperm in the female reproductive system Sperm enters the vagina Sperm passes through cervix into the uterus Sperm swims into the fallopian tube toward ovaries Sperm meets egg in the fallopian tube Sperm enters egg (fertilization occurs) FEMALE Zygote (fertilized egg) travels down fallopian tube REPRODUCTION Zygote continues to divide and become blastocyte Blastocyte implants on uterine wall VOCABULARY MATCH WORKSHEET Match the term with the correct number. Only one ovulation can happen per cycle. You can, however, ovulate two (or more) eggs at the same time.
