# LP1/P2 Material Handler ## Raw Materials - Water - Acrylamide - Acrylil Acid - Acetic Acid - Vazo-Thermal - MBA-Branding Agent - Versenex-corelating Agent - Hypo-chain Trasfer Agent - Na-044-Therma 1 - TBHP-oxidizer - Porsulfure-oxidizer - Monrs - Initiator - Salt ## LP1 Process Diagram The diagram shows the process flow of raw materials through the LP1 system. ### Raw Materials Input - Water is added to the system from a D-Tank, holding 28,000 kg of water. - Acrylamide is added at a rate of 26,500 kg/hr. - Acrylil Acid is added at a rate of 13,000 kg/hr - Acetic Acid is added at a rate of 10-12 kg/hr - Vazo-Thermal is added at a rate of 30 minutes. - MBA-Branding Agent is added at a rate of 30 minutes. - Versenex-corelating Agent is added at a rate of 3 minutes. - Hypo-chain Transfer Agent is added at a rate of 5 minutes. - Na-044-Therma 1 is added at a rate of 5 minutes - TBHP-oxidizer is added at a rate of 30 seconds. - Porsulfure-oxidizer is added at a rate of 35 seconds. - Monrs - Initiator is added at a rate of 2 minutes. - Salt is added as needed. ### Reaction Vessel - Raw materials enter a reaction vessel labeled "LPI." - The materials are mixed and heated for 30 minutes. - The reaction vessel is connected to a series of pumps, filters, and screens. ### Granulator - The materials are then pumped to a granulator labeled "GRI." - The materials are granulated into a desired size and shape. ### Cooling - Materials are transported to a cooling stage labeled "SU". - The materials are cooled to a desired temperature. ### Drying - Materials are then dried in a drying stage labeled "DS". - The materials are dried to a desired moisture content. ### Condensate - Condensate is collected from the drying stage and sent to a condensate tank, labeled "TS". ### Final Product - The dried and granulated materials are then conveyed to a final product hopper, labeled "HOPPER." ## LP2 Material Handler ### Process - Water (28,000 kg) enters the system from a D-Tank. - Acrylamide (26,500 kg) enters the process. - Acrylic Acid enters the process. - Caustic Salt, added as needed, enters the process. - The materials are then pumped to a pre-grinder labeled "GRI." - The materials are then pumped to a grinder labeled "GRI." - The materials are pre-ground and ground to a desired size. - The materials are then screened through a series of screens labeled "R9." ### Secondary Processes - The materials are then transported to a diffusional paddle labeled "S2", where 12-15% of the material is removed. - The materials are then transported to a fluidized bed dryer labeled "S3," where they are dried to a low moisture content. ## Overall Process Flow The diagram illustrates the overall process flow of materials through the LP1 and LP2 Material Handlers. The diagram is not completely detailed, but it does give an overview of the process. More detailed diagrams and documentation are available to describe the individual steps and equipment in more detail.
