REVIEWER FOR CPAR 3RD QUARTER “The Insignia of the Order of the National Artists”- A. It is formed from a Grand Collar featuring circular links depicting the arts and an eight-pointed sunburst and suspended from a sampaguita wreath in green and white enamel. Ambahan- This is a type of poem made up of seven-syllable lines, often expressing themes of love and friendship. Bayanihan- The villagers would unite to assist the farmers in harvesting the crops, providing their labor for free to ensure the crops are collected before they spoil. Ben Cab Museum - This facility contains the permanent collection of Philippine National Artist Benedicto Cabrera across multiple galleries, along with spaces for art exhibits and shows. Color - It is the result of light striking an object and then being reflected into the eyes. Communal Nature - A defining trait of contemporary arts highlights the interconnections and evolving relationships within communities and social structures. Contemporary Art - It is shaped by the economic, social, political, and environmental factors surrounding the artist. Dancing- A widely acknowledged form of Performing Art that expresses ideas live through movement, sound, or dramatic narration, showcasing cultural or artistic traditions. Ethnic Tradition- This art form is primarily influenced by the geographical location and experiences of the Filipinos. Fernando Amorsolo- first Filipino who has given the National Artist Award. Film- A form of visual art used to imitate experiences that communicate ideas, stories, or feelings with the use of moving images. Finale Art File- It featured numerous exhibits by some of the most renowned figures in contemporary visual arts. Hybridity- defined as the use of different art mediums that are put together. Implied texture made a piece of art to look like a certain texture. like a drawing of a tree trunk may look rough but in fact it is just a smooth piece of paper. Lang Dulay- An artist crafted a piece of t’nalak, a fine abaca fabric, incorporating traditional designs such as bulinglangit (clouds), kabangi (butterfly), crocodiles, and flowers. Literature - an art that shows expression of ideas through writing. Manunggul Jar - An elaborately crafted burial jar found in a cave in Palawan. Multi-focal- This feature of contemporary arts considers the wide perspective of the artwork as well as both artist and viewer. National Commission for Culture and the Arts- highest policy and coordinating body for the culture and arts of the state. NCCA and CCP- The NCCA (National Commission for Culture and the Arts) and CCP (Cultural Center of the Philippines) are both key institutions in the Philippines that support and promote the country’s cultural and artistic development. NCCA- This government agency administered the highest recognition given to Filipino individuals who have made significant contributions to the development of Philippine arts. Religious Art- Shaped by religious beliefs during the Spanish era. Samaon Sulaiman- He was a performer from Mamasapano, Maguindanao, celebrated for his expertise in playing the Kudyapi. Sandugo- By making an incision on the arms of two people, blending their blood, and exchanging promises of friendship and alliance. Sculpture- It is a form of art where solid or plastic materials are shaped into three-dimensional objects. Singkil- a dance that uses bamboo with graceful movements from Mindanao. Space- This is the area surrounding, between, and within an object. Suguidanon - The Panay epic that is transmitted orally. Texture- This pertains to the visual perception of the surface of any object. The Making of the Philippine Flag- A painting by Fernando Amorsolo, renowned for showcasing Filipino traditions, portrays three women sewing, capturing the daily life and cultural heritage of the Philippines. The Order of the National Artist Award- It is the highest national recognition given to Filipino individuals who have made significant contributions to the development of Philippine arts. The Republic Act No. 7355 is known as the “Manlilikha ng Bayan Act.” Theater- In this category, the artist is acknowledged for their work in direction, performance, and/or production design. Tinikling- showcases both the elegant grace and intricate footwork of the performers, as well as the strength and skill of women, reflecting the tribe's cultural values and social roles. Uwang Ahadas - The artist listed below is highly esteemed for his exceptional skill in playing the kwintangan, an instrument typically played by women. Weaving- the significant work that is popular in Sulu by Darhata Sawabi.
