RESISTING ARREST - Assaulting An Officer **POLICY:** It is the policy of the Omaha Police Department (OPD) that any person who intentionally physically prevents or attempts to prevent a police officer acting under color of their official authority, from affecting the arrest of a suspect, will be charged with Resisting Arrest. In addition, if a person intentionally or knowingly causes serious bodily injury to a police officer, they will be charged with \"Assault On An Officer.\" **PROCEDURE:** **I.
