Cortex form ovary Medulla form testis Depend on chromosomal sex ( X or Y) 8 12/05/24  Differentiation of internal-2 organs ( duct system) Bipotential embryo has mullerian duct (female duct) & wolffian duct (male duct) Male :- - Testis secrete mullerian duct inhibitory factor cause regression of female ducts & development of male ducts. - Wolfian duct give (epididymis, vas deference, penis and prepuce) - the reminant of mullerian duct called (uterus musculanus in male ) 9 12/05/24  Female:- - Mullerian duct development & persist. (absence to mullerian inhibitory factor) - Lower part of wolffian duct disappear & some remnant remain and form what is called (Gartner's duct). - Other tissue from wolffian duct development of ( suspensory ligament of ovary ).
