PRINCIPLE OF SUSTAINABL E LIVING OBJECTIVES At the end of the lesson, the students shall be able to: 1. identify the interdependence and balance of the three pillars of sustainability; 2. discuss the basic principles of sustainable living and; 3. explain the challenges and opportunities in achieving sustainability. ACTIVITY ECO-KNOW-HOW The teacher will select one student to pick a name from the box. After picking a name, the student must read aloud the name written on the slip of paper. The student whose name is picked must stand up and answer the sustainability question posed by the teacher. 1. How would you define sustainability in your own words? 2. What is the one thing you can do in your daily life to reduce your impacts on the 3. How does education environment? contribute to people making sustainability choices? PIK-PAK-BOOM PROCEDURE: 1. The teacher will group the students into four (4). 2. Each group will have 1 representatives the first representative will form a circle with other groups representative. When the teacher say’s “Pik-Pak”, the group representatives will start the game. When the teacher says “Boom”, everyone in the circle must freeze and stay still and the one who hold the ball will answer the question 3. After presented students guess the answer presented on on the screen. the screen, the teacher will randomly select a student’s name from the group intended box.
