Bible ===== Postmodernism is a way of thinking that defines the world based on personal feelings and desires. It involves doubt regarding something is true regarding to morality (right and wrong) and a strong dislike of laws. Premodernism: From the beginning of the "Modern Period" people generally believed that some sort of divinity (God/gods) exits and made it center of their lives. (Theocentrism). The authority during this was God/gods, the church and tradition. Modernism: In the last 15th century, a view called Rationalism arose. This is the view that human reason is supreme above every other means of knowledge. As a result, many people started to doubt the church and existence. The focus was now on human beings. This is called Anthropocentrism. Premodernism: As a result of the world was (starting in 1914), with the many deaths people started to ask themselves whether human beings really have control of this world? This doubt resulted in phrases like "Truth is whatever you think it is" "I can be whatever gender or race I decide "and a distrust of everything and everyone. The Bible shows us what is truth (Isaiah 8:20), it teaches us what is right and wrong regardless of what we feel. God's Word is the standard.
