What are physical properties of matter?** - **Luster:** Shiny metallic. - **Color:** Gold. - **Texture:** Smooth. **2. What are size-dependent physical properties?** - **Mass:** A measure of the amount of matter that makes up an object. - **Volume:** The amount of space occupied by an object or substance. - **Weight:** A measure of the force of gravity acting on an object's mass. **3. What are size-independent physical properties?** - **Melting & Freezing Point:** The temperature at which a substance changes from a solid to a liquid or vice versa. - **Boiling Point:** The temperature at which a substance changes from a liquid to a gas. - **Solubility:** The ability of one substance to dissolve into another. - **Conductivity:** The ability of matter to carry an electric current or thermal energy. - **Density:** The amount of mass per unit of volume of a substance. - **Magnetism:** The motion of electric charge resulting in attractive and repulsive forces. - **Viscosity:** A liquid’s resistance to flow. **4.
