CONTEMPORARY PHILIPPINE ARTS FROM THE REGIONS In this module, you are expected to: Reflect on the art forms found in your community Acknowledge the significance of Philippine Contemporary Arts Identify the subjects of arts as well as the principles of design Create a visual design Critique an artwork based on the three key elements SEATWORK 1.1 (8/7/24) The artworks presented below (labelled A & B) are masterpieces of Filipino artist. Observe and evaluate each one of them. In a separate sheet of paper, write a one liner caption on each of the artwork. MODERN ART - developed as styles and techniques - emerged in the late 1800’s - waned in the middle of 20th century when postmodernism came to light CONTEMPORARY ART - art that springs out of the present day events and passions of the society - art made and produced by artists living today. - emerged around late 1970’s - with the times (con tempo) INTEGRATIVE ART - is an interdisciplinary major available to students who desire a curriculum that crosses over traditional single discipline lines. –The Integrative Arts student initially establishes an academic plan with the assistance of an approved adviser.
