How can you reach your target market? What is a survey? A survey is a method of gathering information using relevant questions from a sample of people with the aim of understanding populations as a whole. IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO GROW A BUSINESS IN A SPECIFIC AREA, THEN YOU CAN START YOUR BUSINESS PLAN OR MARKET PLAN BY CONDUCTING A SIMPLE SURVEY. Here are some important questions that we must answer when starting a fruit business: 1. Who are our buyers or customers? 2. Where do they live? 3. How many people are living in our area or community? 4. Are they currently buying a particular fruit? 5. What are the prices offered by our competitors? 6. Are they getting enough supplies at the moment? What are the guidelines for doing a market survey? Guidelines in doing a Market Survey 1. Set the objectives To satisfy our buyers, we should involve them in the changes, that needs to be done. Through a market survey they can take part and give their feedbacks on our products or services. Guidelines in doing a Market Survey 2. Know the target market Once we set our objectives, we need to decide who is your target market respondents. If we have the right objectives but our survey is conducted in the wrong market, we will not get the right results. Guidelines in doing a Market Survey 3. Prepare the questionnaire We have to take our time when formulating our questions. The next steps will all be based on our questionnaires. Once our questionnaires are ready, we must have our buyers answer. This may be through paper and pencil or online. We have to gather as much information as we need.
