This development is intertwined with globalization, leading to increased business opportunities, cultural exchange, and the formation of a global village. It has impacted environmental, cultural, political, and economic aspects of the world. DIVERSE AND ACCESSIBLE FOR BUSINESS Today, many companies employ remote workers from different countries, facilitated by technologies like video calling that make remote collaboration feel seamless. Impact of Technology Technology has enhanced connections with suppliers and customers worldwide, streamlining processes such as ordering and shipment tracking. Global communication has also turned information into a valuable business asset, allowing for efficient information transfer between countries. This modernization and efficiency benefit operations worldwide, regardless of their location. Fewer Cultural Barriers Globalization has made it possible, for example, for someone in Japan to understand how someone in the U.S. goes about their day. With television and movies, cultural barriers are becoming less prevalent. CULTURAL DIFFERENCES When people from two different cultures try to exchangeinformation, the way they speak, their body language, or theirmannerisms can be interpreted differently by the other person. Affected both by globalization and global communication, the global village is created when distance and isolation no longer matter because people are connected by technology. These will help you cope with uncertainty and enhance cultural sensitivity. CULTURAL DIFFERENCES CAN BE DISTINGUISHED BY individualism vs. high vs. low power collectivism distance individualism refers to the High power distance cultures are cultivation of individuals' based on power differences in initiative and achievement, which subordinates defer to while collectivistic cultures tend superiors. In contrast, low power to nurture group influences. distance cultures believe that power should be used when legitimate. masculine vs. feminine In a highly masculine culture, high vs. low-context members value aggressiveness, communication strength, and material symbols of success.
