Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs): At the end of the course, the students will be able to; Understand the basics of Parasitology including basic definitions and classification of parasites. Describe the life cycle of some parasites, including the diagnostic stages, infective stages and mode of infection. Understand the different laboratory diagnostic techniques for parasitic infection. Understand the pathogenesis of parasitic infection. Describe the common arthropods of medical interest and explain their medical i mportance.
