DOMOCAO ALONTO of Sulu - attacked the Filipinos who proclaimed Rizal as the “ national hero” but seemed to despise what he had written CATHOLIC SCHOOLS vs the GOVERNMENT Catholic schools : we will close down if the bill was passed Recto : if this will happen , the schools will be nationalized Catholic Church : we will punish legislators in the future elections Expurgated vs. Unexpurgated According to Recto “ The people who would eliminate the books of Rizal from the schools would blot out from our minds the memory of the national hero.
