DEVELOPING ICT CONTENT FOR SPECIFIC PURPOSES Application Software It is a single or group of programs that allow access for specific tasks to be performed. It is useful for reports containing 3 features  Textual  Numerical  The official first piece of software to be written was created with punch cards, and it calculated the greatest divisor of 2 to the power of 18. It took 52 minutes to complete the calculation! This achievement led to a boom in software development, including the creation of the first programming language, TECHNIQUES IN EMPOWERING USERS APPLICATION SOFTWARE Mail Merge Custom Animation and Timing Hyperlinking Integrating Images and external material Embedded Files data Advanced and conflict formulas and computation PARTS OF THE WORD PROCESSING DOCUMENT 1. Title Bar - displays the name of the document you are currently using. 2. Quick Access Tool Bar - is a customizable toolbar containing a set of commands that are independent of the tab that is currently displayed. 3. Ribbon - is located below the Quick Access Toolbar and the Title Bar. 4. Ribbon Tabs - t comprises seven tabs; Home, Insert, Page layout, References, Mailing, 5. File Tab - is a colored tab, for example, a blue tab in Review and View. Word, located in the upper-left corner. 6. Group - is a user interface element which was introduced by Microsoft. 7. CUSTOM ANIMATION AND THINKING  Enhance viewer experience There are four kinds of animation effects in PowerPoint. Entrance Effects Emphasis Effects Exit effects Motion Parts Hyperlinking presentation  Optimize use of related content and references.  Allows you to move across digital resources and documents. INTEGRATING IMAGES AND EXTERNAL MATERIAL IN WORD PROCESSING  Enhances textual content and references  Also useful in presentation slides sometimes in spreadsheets.  Can be easily inserted from different location such as EMBEDDED FILES AND DATA  Allows you to establish a dynamic connection between productivity tools.  Seamlessly integrates related files. ADVANCE COMPLEX FORMULAS AND COMPUTATIONS  Worksheet functions in spreadsheets tools help create formulas and computations of numerical data. FORMULAS THANK YOU
