Several areas of action Procurement Maintenance End of life Equipment & IT fleet Configuration Amortisation Governance Digital uses Eco-design of digital services Key best practices ❑ Protect your equipment (shell, no liquids near it) and take care of it (remove dust, don't block ventilation). Keep them as long as possible, repair them, upgrade components rather than the whole machine, install lighter operating systems, etc. ❑ Buy less, buy smart, buy second hand when you don't need high-tech. Don't give in to hype and marketing (the latest model, Black Friday, etc.) and fight against cultural obsolescence. ❑ Reduce consumption (unplug, switch-off), deactive energy-intensive functions (bluetooth, geolocalisation, etc.) and adopt good recharging management (20/80% & short charges). ❑ Limit unnecessary video consumption : adapt video definition, choose audio-only platforms for music, disable camera if not needed. ❑ Reduce the impact of data : avoid data saturation on your equipment, store less on the Cloud, disable auto-sync, adopt efficient data transfer systems & give less personal data. ❑ Think about digital well-being : monitor your screen time, value your right to disconnect, understand dark patterns in digital services & get a better understanding of how your personal data are used.
