# **My Notes** ## **Invertebrate** - **Phylum:** Chelicerata - **Class:** Arachnida - **Order:** Scorpionida - **Example:** Scorpion ### **Scorpion, Spider** - Body is determined - Divided into: - **Prosome**: - Prosoma - Epithosoma - Mesosoma - Metasoma - **Scorpion:** - Have 8 hide seg covered by caropus - Have two large middle eyes - In lateral group of 5 small eyes - **Mesosoma:** - In adult = 7 seg - Unmature = 6 seg - **Metasoma:** - 6 seg ends with poison glands - **Prosome:** - Chelicera = 3 seg - Legs "pedipalps" = 6 jointed seg - **Walking legs:** - 4 seg consists of 7 jonerites - 4 seg consists of 4 jointed Append ## **Meso Soma** - Shows from ventral view - First & Second seg = Jonited - First = Carry genital operculum => we can use it as comb like other female difference - Sec = Have petinsy comb => taller in male than female - Last 4 seg => Carry Segmata => Lead to book lungs ### **Habitant** - **Eco parasite Endoparasite:** - Habitat = Land, Marine ## **Systems** ### **1. Digestive system** - Ventrally - Start with mouth. Ends with anus ### **2. Excretory system** - by Malpighian tubules = pair of tubules used to absorb wasters & soluble substances and salts. - **Coxal gland** = between Coxae of 3,4 walking legs. ### **3. Respiratory system** - By stegmata consists of 4 pars of book lungs - Mesosoma the last 4 seg = 4 pairs of stegmata book lungs - Lamella - Air chamber => Func.. gas exchange using muscles while making contractions and relaxation. ### **4. Circulatory system** - Consists of heart => 7 chambers. Have Ostia which connected by together. - Allow blood passage - A pair of hepatic artery - Posterior = Prosome - Anterior = Mesome, metassome - Praumatery = Back blood again to heart - Gas exchange in Meta some by book lungs. ### **5. Nervous system** - Consists of = Celepral ganglia - Pedipada = Have sensory role ### **6. Reproductive system** #### **Male** - Testis = 5 - Vas deference - Male genital opening #### **Female** - Ovary - Oviduct - Female genital opening - Spermato phere => Carrying sperms - Fettrization - Male attract female - After feltication female kill male - After getting new generation they kill female - Direct => No larva **Done** **Dr:- Alaa Osama**
